Abode of Clarus

Thankfully the weather held off for an awesome weekend at Summit Main for the CCS Festival of Speed.  Finally the first race of the season, the first time to really try out my new leathers and boots, and a great welcoming back to racing.



The weekend was rather full with 5 sprint races and a GT [mini endurance] race that I was registered in.

Wash your hands, bow and climb up the stairs.  Come see what Alex and I found whilst conquering the mighty Matsudo Island, a secret wooded area in between the sea of train tracks that filter through Matsudo station.

 

As everyone slept late from a night of debauchery we decided to go for a mid morning stroll and found this local shrine hidden in the corner of an industrial complex and the highway.

Domo is a man [thing?] of many talents.  For his respective size he has climbed mountains, toppled governments, and even been known to take on the odd badger now and then.  One lesson he has not learned is that, no matter how delicious it may look, you cannot drink three times your weight in beer.

What is nine stories tall, has 260,000 sq. feet of electronic wares,even has it's own theme song, a cover version of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"?  Why none other than Yodobashi Camera - Akihabara!



Domo of course, couldn't help going in and trying out a few of the electronics, including some $900 headphones.

How could you not know about Domo's true love of sushi? Look at those chompers, that devilish grin.  He thoroughly enjoys devouring the raw fishes.

Domo had a very exciting week recently where he had the chance to fly all the way to Japan to celebrate Golden Week!  His first story is of his 'hunt' for ramen in the city of Ueno at about 10pm.  You would think that a country that has as many ramen shops as Japan would have no problem providing such a store, however for some reason he was hard pressed to find one that would fit his distinct culinary tastes.



Thankfully after a few hours of hunting he ran across a delicious miso ramen which he quickly devoured.
