Where we last left off I had narrowly avoided 'the man' by avoiding panic with my bazooka in Dayton International Airport, and was happily greeted at the baggage claim. What was left was a nice car hop into our nation's capitol, Washington DC.
I had forgotten what a pleasure it was to drive on roads uncovered from snow, with drivers frought with tension. The pleasure of the common driver doing 10 mph over the posted speed limit, with others dancing with danger and authority by exceeding even that. The weaving of traffic through 4+ lanes of 95 south. Just recollecting it even now brings a feeling of excitement back to me.
I spent a wonderfull night dining on Uno's thick crust pizza and then taking a short trip to a little latin bar down the street. Perhaps the greatest part of it being Yuengling on tap... an impossible site to see in the midwest. The delicious necter of it still appeals to me as the main reason I began enjoying drinking back so many days ago.
The night was wondeful, as was to be expected, and in the morning we were off. Off to tackle the world with dreams in our pockets.

Objective : Get racing ready!
It was an interesting drive to Dover, DE; home of Speedwerks motorcycle shop. You never realize how much you can crave a Denny's until you pass an exit and see it in the rear view mirror, dissapearing as fast as your hopes for a decent meal of nachos.
After putting around on the small roads of Delaware we came across this small town which housed the motorcycle shop. It was a great place, tucked behind a few abandoned warehouses. Inside was a varitable cornicopia of random racing supplies (race fuel, back protectors, and safety wire.)
A quick trip to the salvation army and a car wash later, my forks were fitted with new springs, specificially engineered to my weight and driving style. I threw a KNOX back protector in the back and picked up some pieces for my pit bull motorcycle stands and I was off.
Next stop.. Drinking town!
After a slight rush-hour delay in the city of cities, Philadelphia, it was off to Lehigh University. To leave you with that... enjoy this beautiful sunset as we gaze back into Plymoth Meeting...
