Apartment Hunting

Well it was an exciting weekend, filled with many a things. These 'many things' shall be talked about later when I don't have 'many things' to do.

Meg and I went to about 5 different appointements that we had for housing, and it was all the same stuff. I wanted to live in the 'historic Oregon district', but as I could have guessed, that meant that you were lucky if the house was wired for electricity. Forget adaquate windows or floors that you could consider eating off of.

So I changed directions, and found where I am planning to move. It's an old warehouse building right in the middle of downtown. The area is called the "historic fire district" because of the fire department, or at least I hope.

I think it looks really pretty, and the rooms I am looking at would have (2) of those large windows.

The places arn't exactially the biggest, but I think it will be fun experiencing city living for a bit.

It's a f--king warehouse...

Sundering Seas:

So do those windows reach from the ground to the ceiling?

The windows are more or less, floor to ceiling. About 6-10 inches from the floor. The ceilings are about 11 feet high, with exposed ductwork and piping. at 9 feet. So you can't really have anything 11 feet tall, but it certainly feels like it.
