Recently my middle sister got her first speeding ticket, and I started to come to terms with officers of the law. She is an unsafe driver, was doing 15 over the speed limit in a high accident area while talking on her cell phone. I have very little sympathy for her, although my empathy for the situation abounds.
However, every now and then, something happens that shows the world why police officers can be compleate dick heads.
This article is one such example.
It just angers me that someone could let their personal life become part of their work, when their job is so critical to human life. The article states that the press release made by the dispatch clearly mentioned the response time was not delayed by his actions, but I find that VERY hard to believe.
His punishment after the ordeal? a 15 day suspension. Compleate bullshit.
I'm just very emotional about people today I guess.
