Wanted: MTG Opponents

Who would have thought that Magic the Gathering would have remained as fun as it used to be!

It was very simple 'pre-made' deck on their new Ninth edition expansion "Champions of Kamigawa". As I'm a one color man, I picked up a simple White Creature type deck that seemed to suit my style. Unlike Dave I'm not big on the 'crazy f'd up blue white and red combinations', or bob's insanely stupid 'all artifact all the time' deck.

Just the joy of unwrapping the box and spreading the cards across the table brought a memory I had long forgotten back into my mind. After playing a few rounds to get the cobwebs out, the joy of tapping that clutch 3 mana to compleatly foil your opponents playing game just sent shivers up my spine.

I've now started reading up on the new rules since fifth edition as well as caught up on some news. Why did I ever stop playing this game in the first place?

SunderingSeas:

My black speed deck will pwn you.

Now is when the obligatory "why don't you get off your ass and come play" comment would be thrown, but I'm not interested in upsetting a future opponent.

So, instead, I shall just say. Bring it on!

And also the *Fishy Deck* done by Mad-Dawg Joseph was the most stupid thing in the world.

SunderingSeas:

Nah, Bob's blue slow down the pace of the game to a damn crawl so it makes it so damn boring to play deck was the worst idea in the world.

Hahaha.. I remember that deck. It didn't do any damage, it just prevented you from killing him, and removing cards from your hand so you couldn't cast anything.

Jesus Bob...

Tobio:

For about a year I played M:TG with friends from College. We took cards and developed a way to do booster draft. Shit was fun.

And my black and white discard deck with smoke either one of you. Smoke you good.

Yea I remember that deck. It was hotness.

I still miss the wonderful simplicity of the zombie deck however. I am in the process of making my own version of it with the new Kamigawa series (9th booster btw) called the Samurai deck!
