Lee-on-the-Solent

There is a beautiful little town just east of my apartment called Lee-on-the-Solent. It's a strange name, and the town itself isn't too amazing, but it has a beautiful beach setting.

Of course the beach isn't what you would consider to be a "Jersey Beach," however it has it's own charm. There is always a strong wind which lends itself to kite surfing, wind surfing, dingys, and big sailboats. There is also a romantic walkway that leads up and down the entire coast and a perfect view of the Isle of Wight just off the shore. It seems to be it's own little view on the English channel. It satisfies my need for the sound of ocean waves and a nice wet breeze in your face. (not pictured: the fact that the water is green with seeweed and alge)
