Grad School

I have come to the conclusion, like so many other of my cohorts, that I will attend graduate school. It was an easy decision involving talking to my father about how I might be less than pleased with my current situation in life and how a graduate education would open me up to further opportunities that I am interested in. There, of course, is a dilema with this decision that I am having trouble solving...

Graduate School

Graduate School.
I have mentioned this before, but I feel a little more assertive about the fact now.

After working in the trenches here at Moto for 9 months now, it's really dawned on me, that I need more money. It really isn't a position of excitement or enjoyment, because I have found both of those things in my current job. It is far from non-stop enjoyment, but I have a reason to get up in the morning, because of my desire to do my job.

News as of late

It has been a while since I've posted. The main reason being, there has been something on my mind, that I'm not quite ready to make public yet. I'm sure most of you can guess what I am talking about, but feel free to ask if you'd like. It's hard to think of anything else to write here. It's been, consuming me if you will. (read: lack of sleep and high levels of anxiety)

Well to take your minds off of it, I did call Wright State University today and basicially talk them into accepting me as a "conditional graduate student." The reason for the special term is, as the Dean abruptly put, "You're not a M.E., why would you apply for a Masters in M.E.?"

So what that means is that I would have to have a custom tailored course designed to bring me up to speed on Mech. E. classes while still allowing me to be a grad student. So it'll take bawls forever to get my degree, but it's what I want to get, so I'll work for it!

So, in simple terms, I am accepted! So half a cheer for Ben. "Hip Hip HOO!"

Now.. if only this week would reach closure faster. I'm dying over here.

Grad Schools and such

Well I sucessfully took the GMATs on Sat. I say sucessfully because my unofficial returned score is a 720/800. Now the decision of where to go and what to do with that score starts.

Any congradulations or ideas?

A turn of events...

As some of you may know, since October of last year, I have been preparing and working toward applying to graduate school programs for the fall term of 2006. I started by taking the GMAT entrance exams and doing rather well, then I had one hell of a time tracking down and working on my application. A plethora of revisions of essays, agressive e-mails trying to get my reccomendations in, and late nights getting everything perfect. Much to my shock, as I came home from Otakon, I was greeted in the mail by this...
